Fanzine are fast becoming one of our favorite English bands. The sheer quantity of tunes they’ve been dropping on us is pretty outstanding but it’s the quality, not quantity, of the songs that really amazes. L.A is the latest of these tunes and it does absolutely nothing to lower the bar Fanzine have been setting for themselves. It’s 3 minute running time romps by in a smoky blaze of reverb drenched guitars, hazy vocals and moments of sudden euphoria punctuated with bucket-loads of harmonised oohs. It’s lo-fi guitar-music made epic.
