It’s no secret here that we’re big fans of the London up-and-comers Clock Opera. So to hear that they’d done a remix of Blood Orange (mastermind behind one of our albums of the summer) was a pretty big deal here at SSN towers. The effect is brilliant. RAC watch your back…

Clock Opera – Lesson No. 7 (Single of The Week)
3 Oct
Lesson No.7
Lesson No.7 Tom Vek Rmx :
As one of our bands to watch of 2011, top 5 London acts, key Band Stalk members and (we love our lists) winners of beard of the century , we’ve had high hopes for Clock Opera for a while now which, luckily, they’ve been more than living up to. After releasing a handful of brilliant singles they now have one more. Lesson Number 7 which dropped today is a brooding widescreen epic which highlights the gorgeous vocals and brilliant production of the band and sets them up for a serious breakthrough. This is how its done.
We posted this a couple of months back but because we love these guys and think you will too (and because it dropped today) here it is again!
Clock Opera – Lesson No. 7
11 Aug
New Clock Opera equals a very good day, we found these guys supporting Miles Kane and were blown away by their sound. We also discovered that they were kings of the remix as well as purveyors of gorgeously layered, and often very sparkly, synth-pop. On their latest track, this one in fact, they seem to have worked on producing a heavier hitting sound with a clattering wall of guitars coming in around the half way point and, I’m pleased to say, it really works.
The Ep drops October 11th. Exited? Hella yes.
