[Five to Watch] – Reading / Leeds Festival 2012

FIDLAR: These LA garage-slackers have given us some of the best stoner-jams of 2012. With a reportedly colossal live show they’re not ones to miss. Check out the live video for No Waves below and click through for more on the band here.

Savages: One of 2012’s buzziest buzz bands Savages are big on the radar of everyone this summer. If you can cope with the Journos/A&R types who’ll be clogging up the stage they’re definitely worth making the detour for. Check out City’s Full below.

DZ Deathrays: Another one worth watching purely for their live reputation. Signed to rad Australian label I OH YOU DZ Deathrays are notorious for their… ahem… antics on stage… Here’s hoping it’s not tuned down for the tweens.

Django Django: Playing on the Radio-1 stage there’s a good chance you’ve already heard of/seen these tribal art-rockers. Nevertheless with a fantastic debut under their belts and a brilliantly honed stage-presence they’re a big must-see. Here’s a quick review of their Lp if you’re yet to encounter it.

Oberhofer: You’re blazed, buzzed and washed out after friday night’s festivities. You’ve lost you mates, the tent’s still smouldering and you’re not sure if the voices will ever stop. Luckily for you Oberhofer are there to perk you up with their peppy Brooklyn buzz. You can hear some more of their stuff here.
