Temple Songs – Dragging You Down [Class of “13]

Temple Songs are a new group from Manchester, they make raucous guitar pop that sounds like its been penned by some dreamy,  60’s  boy-band. When we first heard ‘Temples’ we thought we’d stumbled across some long-lost Beatles demos. Now that we’ve found this crew I think we might have hit the old-school treasure trove all over again. This time though, rather than sounding like a psychedelic demo penned by a drugged up Lennon, ‘Temple Songs‘ sound like the resurrected corpse of surf-pop Beach-Boys style. They’re better than good. We’ve thrown them into our ‘Class of 13’ feature alongside their namesakes Temples and, if you’re a very fast runner/live in London, you could probably catch the end of their support slot with Temples at the Old Blue Last.
