[Introducing] Modo Stare – Ethereal melodrama from Bradford

What: Faultlessly lucid pop

Where: Bradford

Why We Care: Their image may be a little bit overwrought (high contrast mountain’s and neo-gothic script) but their tunes, which is where it matters, are pretty sublime. ‘We Dream of Mountains’ is so perfectly restrained, and plugs the gap so beautifully between Alt-J and London Grammar that its hard to believe its got less than 10 plays on Soundcloud. Perhaps that’s one of the problems with coming from Bradford. Being so far flung from the capital can create a sort of ‘creative cul-de-sac’ mentality. They’ve not quite got the sardonic snarl of south London’s self-deprecating creative circle but, for all their wide-eyed naivety, its hard to see this lot sitting undiscovered for much longer. They may want to town down the whole melodramatic packaging though. Bring Me The Horizon have the whole teenaged angst thing covered…

  2. Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you
know a few of the pictures aren’t loading properly.

I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve
tried it in two different internet browsers and both show the same results.
