What: Silky Dream Pop
Why We Care: Dream pop can be a dirty phrase. Some of the most tedious, uninspired music we’ve heard has been bundled under the tag and at time we’ve wondered if, perhaps, it might just be Pr shorthand for insipid bollocks. Manchester’s Money, who emerged last year to a string of Wu Lyf comparisons and have since dropped two 7″ singles to relative acclaim, are the other end of the ‘dream pop’ spectrum. In that they actually make decent music. There are a lot of A&R rumblings around them so, if buzz bands are your scene, keep your eyes well peeled.
