The past few days have been absurdly good for new music. We’ve heard new tunes from Splashh, Superfood, Crushed Beaks and Temples. The Daft Punk album leaked and now, as if to christen the day with a truly wonderful treat, our favorite Mancunians Temple Songs have dropped the first taste of their upcoming Ep. ‘Passed Caring’ is a Kodachrome toned blast of wormy little melodies, crunchy guitars and vocals that drip reverb and apathy in equal measure. With every song they drop we predict that Temple Songs are on the cusp of something massive but now, surely, they actually are. We’re absolutely bowled away by how much good material they produce each year and, with fingers firmly crossed, it seems that 2013 is going to be the one in which the mother-load is finally hit. Superb.
