What: Self assured pop
Why We Care: Sporting an endearing sort of social awkwardness we’ve hardly seen since quintessential awkward suburban white boys Alt-J -they’d be further back in that hedge if they possibly could be- Lion Bark aren’t the sort of band we’re used to getting sent. Poised, warm and perfectly polished ‘Two Prongs’ – produced by Spring King mastermind Tarek Musa- isn’t interested in hiding behind a safety blanket of reverb. Instead the track brings everything out front in a warm haze of chiming guitars and self-possessed vocals that are as comforting as a pitcher of gin. We’re sold.
