Traams – Fibbist

Stream via BBC Here (3:30)

Traams are one of the most exiting young bands we’ve come across in 2013. Having announced plans to release their debut Lp this month, shortly after teasing us with the bar-raising Flowers Ep, we’ve been drip-fed nuggets of new material every few weeks. The latest cut to surface, Fibbist, is a sharp blast of hackle-raising vocals and stabbing post-punk guitar lines that follows neatly in the wake created by current single ‘Flowers’.

The Lp was produced by MJ from Hookworms and Warm Brains’ Rory Atwell a mix which has produced a peculiar split between sharp hook laden singles and bugged out, reverb-heavy Freak Outs (like album-closer  Klaus). This sits comfortably in the former camp. Check it out above.
