While Britain slumps jaded and faded through a musical doldrums Australia, home of the great-white-shark-killers, king-punches and Tony Abbots shit-munching grin, is floating ahead, dropping out great, nonchalant nuggets of psych drenched chaos.
The most recent example of this Australian renaissance are Flyying Colours, a four-piece who create huge, sunny walls of hook-laden fuzz. Gamboling into life in a furious squall of pure, ecstatic noise Wavy Gravy, the stand out track from their recently released eponymous Ep, is arguably the single best song of the year to date.
