Modern Dancing is out mid-November and, from what weve heard, it’s going to be a big day for Stu and the gang. Their debut stands as one of the best British debuts of the last few years, they remain amongst the top live acts in the country and their new material is a iron-thighed stride forwards. Silver Lining is only the second song they’ve released form the record, yet it pushes the band’s jarring kraut-rock riffs into new fields. Gone are the frayed vocals and yowling guitars. Come are the layered melodies, chorus heavy vocals and restrained instrumentals. It’s a big push forward and one that shouldn’t be slept on.
